What We Do
Wellbuilt Bikes is a non-profit bike shop that offers repairs, sells new and refurbished bikes at affordable prices, and invests the sales revenue into our Earn-A-Bike and Sliding Scale Repair programs so that those with little to no money can have a bike of their own. Through this, we strive to make sure that everyone in Tampa, regardless of income, is able to access the benefits of transportation, community, exercise, and everything else that comes from biking.
Our Earn-A-Bike program encourages participants to be engaged in the process of receiving their bike by requiring verified community service hours. In exchange for one day in the shop, we provide a totally refurbished bike, lock, helmet, light set, and water bottle to our earners.
We sell new and totally refurbished bikes for your riding pleasure! When you purchase a bike from us, your contribution goes to our Earn-A-Bike and Sliding Scale Repair programs, helping to fund free and affordable transportation for all.
Our shop is full-service for manual bikes and limited service for electric bikes. Bring a bike to us, and we will offer you a complete estimate for free. Our repair fees are always below market prices due to our non-profit status. We also offer a sliding-scale program for customers whose bike is their only transportation and are unable to pay the full amount of their repairs.
We are a 501c(3) non-profit and rely heavily on donations to provide our charitable services. If you are moved to give to our cause, please contact us to donate financially, give a bike, or fill out our volunteer application.

We are located inside of University Mall, next to Family Discount Furniture and Finish Line. You must enter the mall in order to reach us. Go to the back of the mall, under the covered parking on the ground level. Enter the mall using the double doors next to the elevator, and we will be the first store on your left.
